Food Production and Packaging Specialist

UW Provision Company, Inc. is seeking a Food Production and Packaging Specialist to join our tight-knit, hard-working, and jovial team on the production floor. In this fast-paced environment, you’ll use industrial-size packaging equipment to prepare and package top-quality meat products while prioritizing safety and upholding the highest standards of food production and sanitation.

Essential Functions

• Operate industrial-size packaging equipment to prepare and assemble products for production
• Maintain proper documentation for produced items
• Package meat products in accordance with developed specifications
• Meet daily production goals
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment with safety at the forefront
• Learn inventory and product codes
• Ensure health and safety requirements are fully met and a positive safety culture is maintained

Qualifications

• Must have good hand/eye coordination and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Strong attention to detail
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Experience

• 2 + year’s experience in the meat/food industry
• 2+ year’s experience working in food packaging
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Work Environment

This job operates in warehouse freezers, coolers, and production areas. This position routinely uses equipment with moving mechanical parts.
