Easy Chuck Roast Recipe
I don’t know about the rest of you, but I seasonally eat. As in I only eat certain foods a certain time of year.
I know, it’s silly.
The best example of this is Chuck Roast. I LOVE Chuck Roast, I do. But I don’t eat it when it’s warm out. (Who needs that heavy feeling when it’s 80 degrees out?) So I need to get my fill when the weather is cold.
I follow the super simple recipe my mom uses. Put the roast in a roasting pan, set the oven low to 250-275 degrees, a little salt, a little pepper, a packet of dried onion soup mix mixed with a cup or so of water (let it steep a few minutes) then pour it over the roast. That’s it. Toss in a few carrots and potatoes if you want. A few hours later you’ll have a mouth watering Chuck Roast.
Fresh Chuck Roasts are on sale through 1/14 for $4.29.
