How To Cook Perfect Scallops Every Time

Seafood can be intimidating to cook at home but it is far more doable than you think! Have the perfect seared scallops in garlic butter ready in 10 minutes flat, the perfect companion to grilled vegetables, rice, pasta, salad, and more!
Ingredients
- 1lb Scallops
- UWP Gourmet Seasoning to taste (or salt and pepper)
- 2tbsp oil
Garlic Basil Butter
- 2tbsp Butter
- 2 Garlig Cloves (optional)
- 1 cup Basil leaves (optional)
- 3-4 lemon slices (optional)
Instructions
- Pat your Scallops dry with a paper towel and season with UWP Gourmet Seasoning or just good ole salt and pepper.

- If you want the perfect sear, dust them with a pinch of flour before seasoning.

- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add oil. Once the oil is hot, carefully place your scallops in- seasoned side down.
- Cook about 2 minutes or until browned.
- While the first side is browning, season the other side
- Flip your scallops once the first side is browned, if they stick- wait a few seconds and try again, gently wiggle them to help release them.
- Add butter and garlic to the pan, and swirl it around as it melts.
- Cook for another minute or two and remove from heat. Stir is the basil and lemon and serve!
