For this Meat Tip Monday, we are focusing on how to make bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. First, you want to stop by either The Meat Market or Local Source foods and pick up some bacon and pork tenderloin. To learn how to make bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin please follow these cooking tips:
Prepare Your Pork Tenderloin
First, you want to wrap the bacon slices around the pork fully covering it. ( If your having problems with the bacon sticking try using a few toothpicks to secure it.) Next, make a rub for your bacon by combining brown sugar and pepper in a mixing bowl. Once the rub is all mixed rub it over the pieces of bacon. Vegetables go great with this dish so you will want to arrange cut potatoes, cauliflower, and broccoli around the pork in a large roasting pan. Make sure to season your veggies with olive oil, salt, and pepper!
Cooking Your Pork Tenderloin
First, preheat your oven to 425° F. Once the oven is preheated place the pork inside and let it roast for about 25 minutes or until an internal temperature of 145° F is reached. Once your pork is fully cooked take it out of the oven and allow the pork to rest for about 5-8 minutes before serving.
