Since 1933, Nueske’s has been smoking a variety of meats and selling it to hungry consumers.
Located in central Wisconsin, the third generation family business was started when founder R.C. Nueske couldn’t find smoked meats as good as his families, according to the Nueske’s website. Ever since the public has been reaping the benefits of the family’s dedication to their craft.
Perhaps their most famous product is their Applewood Smoked Bacon. R.W. Apple JR of “The New York Times” had this to say about the bacon in a February 2000 article. “I don’t want to go whole hog here, but Nueske’s struck me as the beluga of bacon, the Rolls-Royce of rashers.”
This week The Meat Market and Local Source Foods have Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon on sale for $7.99/lb. As a treat, the first five customers who mention this blog post at each location will receive a FREE package of the bacon with any purchase.
