It’s officially Hot Toddy weather, get you a drink as cozy as your slippers! Warm up with this drink after dinner or during the game, you can never go wrong with one of these!☕
- 2c cranberry juice
- ½ small orange
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 chunk of fresh ginger
- ½ tsp black peppercorns
- ½ tsp cloves
- 2 star anise
- ¼-½ c honey
- 3-4oz bourbon (whiskey works too! I like Jack Daniels Tennessee fire (super cinnamonny) or Tennessee Honey)
- Add cranberry juice, orange, cinnamon sticks, ginger, peppercorns, cloves, and star anise in a small sauce pan and bring to a low simmer over medium heat. Turn to low, partially cover with a lid, and let warm for 10 minutes. Then remove from heat and put the lid all the way on for a few more minutes.
- Remove the lid and strain the mixture and return it to the pan. Stir in the honey to taste.
- Pour 1 1/2 oz to 2 oz of bourbon into each 8 oz glass and then pour in the hot, spiced cranberry juice. Stir and enjoy hot!
