
How to Cook Scallops Perfectly Every Time

Pan-Seared Scallops
First, you want to pat the outside of the scallops with some paper towels. Then, season the scallops with some sea salt and black pepper. Next, heat your pan over high heat and add some high smoke point oil to the pan once it’s nice and hot. Once your pan is fully heated put in your scallops, making sure to leave enough space between, so they don’t start steaming each other. Sear the scallops for about 2 minutes on the first side, and then add a small amount of butter to the pan while the other side begins to cook. After another minute, take out your scallops and place them on a plate to serve.
